This one's for the unintentional comedy the LEGO fanbase so often affords. The quirky, offensive, uneducated or otherwise unintentionally funny comments on forums and news sites alike. The fan art and writing of questionable calibre. The hastily slapped together MOCs. The senseless loldrama. And above all else, the people who take it all far, far too seriously. Ladies and gentlemen, here's to the very bottom of the barrel that is the LEGO fandom.

So I was poking around Old BZP’s marketplace trying to find the Vakama’s Foundry topic to show a friend, and while searching for it I came across this bizarre topic: in which someone tried to sell little cans of an unidentified substance supposed to resemble protodermis.
This topic once had pictures of the mysterious substance for sale, but alas, it looks like Ninjo edited those out for whatever reason long ago. If anything, this blank in the record makes it funnier to speculate about exactly what this stuff was.

This is part of Gatanui’s current BZP sig. This isn’t stupid or anything, nor am I highlighting it as such. Actually, I find it kind of fascinating that these two emotes have evolved in such a way that they now carry these connotations different or even contradictory to their original intent, to the point where he has to clarify and debunk said different connotations for the purpose of his use. BZP’s sociological oddities like these are actually very interesting, in a strange way.
