man I remember back in the day when ArtIII had a bit of a pretentious snobbery phase, from which I don’t think it ever recovered

I should admit that “pretentious little BZP writing club” wasn’t really based on serious or extensive observation of them or the broader BZP Library culture; the full extent of my exposure is their blogs, the main Ambage topic and occasionally taking a look at some of their (mostly Velox, Kraggh and Zarayna’s) stories (which I admit, pretentiousness aside, certainly aren’t the most awful things I’ve ever seen)

either way, consider my curiosity piqued.  I’ve already paid the Library Discussion Topic a brief visit (that’s actually how I found the book), though I wasn’t really looking that hard and at the end of the day I’m not ALL UP IN BZP’s library culture, so odds are I’ll be missing all the cues about this stuff

(side note: these guys fap over Les Misérables so much that they’ve pretty much completely ruined what I’m sure is a perfectly good movie for me and I can’t take it seriously anymore :( )

Appealing to children, I guess. I’ve only seen the Ninjago show, and I know it’s campy and cringe-worthy, but hey, whatever sells the toys, i guess.

[quick edit by holsety: I’ve only ever seen one episode of Ninjago, but it was so far superior to the HF TV show it’s not funny; it’s not exactly something I’d go out of my way to watch regularly, but I’ve seen worse… and that worse is the Chima show.  seriously what happened :( ]

I don’t know about the other mods, but I don’t think it’s worth the digital ink it’s printed on. I’m not paying 99 cents to read that horseshit.

What’s with the name of the blog?

“The Lunacy of LEGOman Values” is derived from the work of one Vezon the Piraka, a former member of BZPower reviled for his despicable treatment of other members and his gratuitously racist, Nazi-laden and generally shitty sprite comic work.  The name itself is a humourous take on his last sprite comic work, “The Lunacy of Earthman Values”, which was what ultimately got him banned from BZP (he still knocks around deviantART with it, but people just ignore him now).

It actually took a while to come up with that, and every other name we thought of was either terrible in general or a failed attempt at being funny.

Incidentally, the title “relentless quest for HATE DESPAIR” is just another VTP joke.  Arguably it’s the better of the two we’ve used here.
