While it does do us some good to bask in the glory of some fan mail every once in a while (which we most certainly will and do), that’s not exactly why we opened up the ask box.

So if you send us fan mail, know that we are basking in your compliments, but don’t expect any sort of formal response.

Hey, folks, this is the other admin speaking. You know, the one who’s done, like, two posts about dinosaurs.

Now, as admins of a blog about bad LEGO fans, naturally, we can be a bit dickish sometimes. Quite frankly, it takes a bit of dick in you to run a blog like this, or it would never go anywhere. If I was just a quivering blob of empathy, I could never bring it upon myself to laugh at what is, quite frankly, a hilarious part of the LEGO fandom.

(Is the LEGO fandom even a thing? IDK.)

Anyway, as an admin of this blog, I have decided to operate a system by which you can potentially take down something on this blog that you really feel shouldn’t be here.

Allow me to be more clear before every angry LEGO preteen swarms us. This is going to be a far more discretionary system than just “whine at us and it’s down.” You need to make a clear and cohesive argument as to why we should take it down. If you can convince me that the quote was taken out of context, or that we said something that was very hurtful to you to the point of emotional damage, then I’ll consider it. If you just come in saying “wweh wweh you menies i worked so log on that mock” then I will send a passive-aggressive smiley face your way and call it even.

Go ahead, use multiple messages if you have to to prove your point as an entire argument.

However, know that we will not be activating anonymous messages. If you’ve got a problem with us, say it to our faces. Or, rather, my face, as I’m maintaining this feature, and the other admin will have nothing to do with you. Or, if he does have something to do with you, it will be to inform you that plastic building toys are nothing to whine over, an opinion i’m inclined to agree with.

Anyway, yeah. I have opened the ask box to permit your complaints, but if this becomes a problem, I will revoke this feature.

because I don’t see why the hell not

Sometimes, what we’d like to do here at the Lunacy is take a break from the depressing bullshit and relax a bit, because we’re not serious business.  Ever.  So, what we’re going to do is start BAC Wednesday, which is really just an overinflated title applied to the act of just posting an episode of BIONICLES ADVENTURS COMIXS every Wednesday.

You know BAC, right? That most unholy union between the stylistic suck of Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff and the idiosyncracies of BIONICLE and its fandom?  Yeah.  Point is, we love it and we’re bros with its creators, whatpumpkin and Lime Paradox, so we hit them up on the subject of maybe posting them here for fun and they were all “lets DO this thing”.  As something of a satire of bad digital comics, sprited or otherwise, it’s pretty much a perfect fit for the Lunacy.

BAC is one of our favourite things to come out of the BIONICLE fandom in the past year.  Its irreverent off-the-wall approach to pretty much everything, its admittedly highly exaggerated satire of crude MSPaint comics, its visual incomprehensibility technique is a sight to behold, and its skewering of so many strange topics is just spot-on… as far as one can tell, at least.

Yes, we just attempted to describe BAC in florid terms. You’re welcome.

Point is, this is a thing that’s happening because why the hell not.  Who knows? Maybe we can start having future installments debut here instead of on BZP, because it’s getting next to no attention there.  So this is the first instalment of BAC Wednesday, featuring the twelfth instalment by whatpumpkin.
